Meadow Acorn cup 8oz

Meadow Acorn Cup

Earthenware terracotta cup with single acorn sprig relief surface. The bottom of the cup is left unglazed, revealing a bright contrast against the crisp white tin glaze. These pieces were thrown on the pottery wheel and a mould was made to slip cast each piece.

Each piece from the Meadow range is handmade by Jemma in her studio based in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Jemma aims to bring some of the natural, local beauty of wildflowers inside with this clean and simple range; perfect for everyday use or one off special occasions

Each piece is glazed and fired to 1100°C. Food safe and microwave safe – unglazed ceramics gets extremely hot in the microwave. I recommend handwashing only to extend the life of your handmade ceramics.
